Erosion of soil is a serious issue for many property owners, especially with significant slopes on their land. There are many different options when it comes to combatting erosion. Battling the elements is also a tricky task that must be carefully planned out on a case by case basis.

One solution known as an erosion control blanket is an excellent choice in many cases. The environmentally friendly and efficient seeded blanket acts to hold soil in place and makes provision for vegetation to become established in the long run.

A silt sock is another great tool to fight erosion. Filled with either soil or wood chips depending on the application, the sock acts as a fence and helps to hold back soil that would otherwise wash away. The sock still allows for water to flow through while holding sediment back.
